Tortoreto
Tortoreto, in addition to sharing with the other towns on the Abruzzo Riviera its comfortable, wide beach and clean sea, is distinguished by its beautiful seafront promenade, where, in addition to the long cycle path, one can admire the old villas that testify to the town's great importance as a seaside resort.
The lower part of the town enjoys a tranquillity that makes it perfect for children, guaranteeing fun and relaxation. Added to this is the very popular Onda blu aquapark, which with its water games invariably attracts hundreds and hundreds of families and children, but not only!
In addition to the beach, you can visit the upper town, with its narrow streets and ancient churches that preserve objects from the Renaissance period of great interest and historical-cultural value.
From here, it is easy to reach the belvedere where one's gaze can easily sweep over the entire Teramo coastline, giving everyone the marvellous spectacle of the open sea The work that has become the town's symbol today is the 'monument to the fisherman' located on the seafront and bearing the inscription of a poem by Gabriele D'Annunzio. Finally, nature lovers cannot miss an excursion to the naturalistic oasis Le fonti del Vascello, between the upper town and the coast, where you can admire an artificial lake in which numerous species of birds and some deer live in a typical lake vegetation.
