Have you ever visited Lake Barrea?
Artificially created in 1950 by damming the Sangro river, it is about 5 km long and 500 m wide on average. The presence of avifauna is remarkable: herons, egrets, mallards, black-winged stilts, moorhens, kingfishers and numerous other species. In any season of the year, it is the ideal place to live in harmony with unspoilt nature in a healthy and evocative environment.
Along the shores of the lake there are footpaths and cycle paths for those who want to do a bit of exercise: there are benches, rest areas and a refreshment point with a small beach, called 'La Gravara': an ideal place for bathing, sunbathing or a ride on a pedalo.
